Street Sign Errors Noted

A sign replacement project is currently underway in Freeman, with teams removing and replacing signage. Unfortunately, some of the installed signs do not match with the actual documentation provided by the city of Freeman for this purpose. Several street signs have been improperly placed and multiple signs that should be labeled as “East” are instead labeled as “West.”

Know that city officials are aware of these errors and no street names or addresses will be changing from how they have been platted for years. A final inspection will be conducted by our street department and we fully expect corrections to be made. None of that can take place, however, until the teams currently at work finish their part of the installation process.

Information about the Hutchinson Country Sign Replacement Project was made available to us in 2021, with final documentation relayed to the engineering team from the city of Freeman in August of 2022.
